How to Change the License Plate Bulb on an MG ZS

Model: MG ZS Zs11 - Years 2017-2024
Part: License plate light

To change the license plate bulb on an MG ZS (and replace it with an LED), the official manual advises disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery and removing the rear bumper cover, but the video shows a simpler method. Using a flathead screwdriver, insert it into the left side of the license plate light cover and pry downwards: the plastic will release. Pull out the bulb holder by turning it a quarter turn counterclockwise. Remove the original halogen bulb and replace it with the LED (which has four LEDs on each side and on the head), ensuring it is the same type and specification as the original. Insert the new bulb into the holder, aligning the two tabs, then reinsert it into the socket and turn a quarter turn clockwise until it clicks. The difference between the yellow halogen light and the white LED is evident. Repeat the same process for the other bulb.
