To replace the battery in an MG vehicle key fob, remove the side cover of the remote. Then, insert a small screwdriver into the slot to open the remote.

Once opened, remove the old battery and insert the new one in its designated slot. Close the remote and go near the vehicle to test the remote's functionality.

If the locking and unlocking issue persists, you may need to reprogram the key by following the steps outlined in the vehicle's owner's manual.
