Replacement of the rear brake pads of the Mini Cooper

Model: Mini Mini R55, R57, R56 - Years 2007-2014
Part: Brake pads

Let's see the process of disassembling and replacing the rear brake pads of the Mini Cooper, in simple steps. First, lift the car, even just on the rear side, and start removing the wheel; then unscrew the brake caliper mounting bolts, removing it from the disc, as shown in the video. At this point, press the caliper piston to retract it, thus removing the old brake pads; clean the caliper from any remaining dirt and install the new high-quality pads. Finally, reassemble the caliper and the rear wheel!

To carry out this operation, you will need to release the bonnet from the appropriate lever to lift it and secure it with the prop rod. Disconnect the battery terminals to protect any more delicate circuits, then proceed to unscrew all the bolts securing the bumper and the headlights themselves, as there are additional bolts behind the bumper to remove. Disconnect the connectors at the back of each headlight to extract it, and in this way, you can install the new headlight. Reverse the steps described for reassembling the various components.
