How to Reset the Service Light on a MINI Spider

Model: Mini Spider R59, R58 - Years 2011-2015
Part: Service warning light

To reset the service light on a MINI Spider (R58), insert the key and turn on the instrument panel without starting the engine. Press and hold the trip meter reset button, located at the bottom right of the instrument panel, for about ten seconds until the maintenance menu appears. Then, use the button at the end of the left steering column to scroll through the various service items until you select the one you wish to reset. When the relevant service appears, press and hold the reset button again until the display shows the reset request. Release the button and press it again for about three seconds to confirm the operation. The new maintenance interval will then be stored. Turn off the ignition and turn it back on to verify that the warning has been cleared correctly.
