To reset the service light on a Mini Cooper, insert the key and turn on the instrument panel without starting the engine. Press and hold the trip odometer button until the service menu appears on the display.

Release the button and press it again multiple times to scroll through the maintenance items until you find the one related to the service to reset. When the desired item is displayed, hold the button until the word "Reset" appears.

Continue to hold it until the reset confirmation is displayed. Release the button and turn off the instrument panel.

Turn it back on to check that the service light has been cleared correctly.
