How to Remove the Steering Wheel of the Mini Cooper

Remove the steering wheel of the Mini Cooper? Remove the steering wheel along with the airbag and replace it. Before removing the airbag from the steering wheel, disconnect the battery terminals. Insert the removal keys/screwdriver into the slots at the back of the steering wheel and unscrew the securing screws. Once the airbag is released, disconnect the power connectors from it and remove it from the steering wheel. Unscrew the large central bolt and remove the steering wheel from the column. Refit the new steering wheel and tighten the nut, then connect the airbag power connector and tighten the securing screws at the back of the steering wheel.
