Replacing the Starter Motor on a Mini

Model: Mini Mini R56, R55, R57 - Years 2007-2014

Replace the starter motor from inside the engine bay of the Mini if it is damaged. Lift the front bonnet to access the starter motor. Disconnect the battery terminals for safety. Locate the starter motor, disconnect the power terminals using a spanner or screwdriver depending on the pressure of the clips, and unscrew the securing bolts of the starter motor using a socket spanner. Remove the starter motor from the engine bay. Install the new starter motor, connecting the power cables and securing it with the appropriate screws. Before refitting any covers, ensure the starter motor is functioning.
