Removing the Starter Motor from a Mini Cooper

How to remove the starter motor? Here’s how to remove the starter motor from a Mini Cooper. Disconnect the power terminals before removing the working parts. The motor is located under the engine bay (access from below or from the right side of the wheel). Use a socket wrench to unscrew the securing bolts of the starter motor and remove it from the engine bay. Replace the starter motor with an identical part. Reconnect the terminals to the battery and start the engine (check all electrical systems functioning from the battery).
