How to Replace the Key Fob Battery on a Mini Cooper?

After a few years of use, the battery in the Mini Cooper key fob will reach the end of its life, and you will need to replace it, a very simple operation. Start by removing the metal key, and with a small tool, such as a flat-head screwdriver, remove the plastic cover with the Mini logo. You will now notice a second small cap located on the motherboard of the key fob. Using the screwdriver, gently lift this cap without damaging the electronics. At this point, the battery will be free to be replaced with an equivalent model, CR2032.
