How to Remove the Cylinder Head from a Mini Cooper

Before starting, open the bonnet and ensure the engine is cold. If it isn't, wait for it to cool down.

Then, begin by removing the upper engine cover. Once done, proceed to disconnect all the spark plug connectors and their wiring, then remove the spark plugs using the spark plug socket provided with the car. After completing this step, remove the entire air filter assembly and the injectors along with the injection system.

At this point, unscrew and remove the bolts located around the perimeter of the cylinder head. You can then remove the cylinder head, successfully completing the disassembly.
