How to replace the ignition coil of the Mini R50

Model: Mini Mini R53, R50, R52 - Years 2001-2007
Part: Ignition coil

The guide shows how to disassemble the ignition coil of the Mini R50. The first step is to open the bonnet; locate the spark plugs, disconnect the cables from the ignition coil and remove them, remembering the extraction sequence. Using a flat screwdriver, disconnect the ignition coil cable. With a 10mm socket wrench, unscrew the fixing bolts of the piece and thus it is possible to detach the coil. After replacing the element, it is a good idea to spread high temperature grease on the ends of the spark plug connectors. At this point it is possible to reassemble the spark plugs. Check the operation of the engine for a few minutes. At this point the operation is finished.
