How to check the engine oil level in Mini Cooper?

In the video here we can see how to check the engine oil level in the Mini Cooper. However, the procedure is identical for any other car on the market and all we need is a cloth with which to clean the oil level stick. With the car parked on level ground, we open the engine compartment and remove the oil filler cap. We extract the stick that is used to check the level, clean it with the cloth and insert it back in its place. Let's take it out again and check the oil level reported on it.
