How to Replace the Radio in a Mini Cooper

To replace the radio in a Mini Cooper, remove the trim around the central air vents using a plastic tool to access the three screws that hold the chrome trim around the speedometer; undo the four screws around the central console to remove it, then remove the speedometer by undoing the three screws and disconnecting the connector. Next, undo the two screws of the radio and take it out. After removing the speedometer and the radio, install the new speedometer by connecting the wires with the various adapters from the original wiring to the new radio, position the new radio, test it, tighten the two screws, and reassemble everything in reverse order of disassembly.
