In this tutorial, you will learn how to replace the starter motor on a Mini Cooper, a very simple and quick operation. Before proceeding, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to work safely.

Start by lifting the front of the vehicle, then go underneath the engine bay on the left side, locate the starter motor, and disconnect both power cables. Next, remove the two lower bolts using a Torx E12 socket, then move to the top and remove the last bolt, accessible by first removing the air filter housing.

To install the replacement, simply follow the reverse procedure.
