Location of the fuse boxes of a 2004 Mini Cooper

Model: Mini Mini R52, R50, R53 - Years 2001-2007

Let's see where the fuse boxes of the Mini Cooper are located. The passenger compartment box is located between the steering wheel and the driver's door, very close to the carpet, in a special compartment accessible using the lever of a screwdriver. On the back of the cap all the fuses contained in the box are mirrored, making it very easy to identify them. As for the engine box, this is located between the battery and the right side of the bodywork. In the compartment there are also relays and cartridge fuses. Also in this case, the symbols of the fuses, relays and cartridge fuses are mirrored on the lid of the container for easy identification.

Once you locate the fuel filter, disconnect it from the pipes and wiring. Use a spanner and socket to unscrew the securing bolts of the upper filter cover, then unscrew the central bolt on the filter. Remove the worn filter and refit the cap with the new filter. Reattach the filter cover in the engine bay with all its parts (pipes and wiring).
