If we want to customize the interior courtesy lights, with the iDrive you need to go to the "settings" option and then the menu should open with various options, including "lights". You can choose between "classic" or "sport/urban" depending on the configuration. Additionally, changing the color of the interior lights will also change the color of the front door handles and the driver and front passenger footwell lighting. You can only notice the latter by moving to the side of the steering wheel and tunnel that obstructs the view of the pedals and passenger footwell.
