How do you replace the external rearview mirror of the Mini?

Model: Mini Mini R53, R50, R52 - Years 2001-2007

In order to replace the external rearview mirror of the Mini, you need to open and close it so that the three screws at the base of its support can be made visible. These three screws must all be completely loosened in order to remove the mirror and its support from its housing. After lifting the mirror, it will be possible to disconnect the underlying connector so that it is completely removed and replaced with a new spare part. This new part must be connected and fixed with the appropriate screws.
