How to replace the thermostat in the Mini Cooper S?

In this tutorial, you can see how to replace the thermostat in the Mini Cooper S. Before doing this, wait for the engine to cool completely to operate safely. Start by removing the air filter box by taking out the relevant bolts, then disconnect all the indicated connectors and remove the intake manifold sensor. Once the area is clear, disconnect both thermostat pipes, unscrew the two fixing bolts with a 10mm spanner, and remove it from the engine wall. Finally, fit the replacement following the reverse procedure and top up the amount of coolant lost during the operation.
