Operation: How to replace the starter motor of the Mini Cooper.

To replace the starter motor of the Mini Cooper, we start by opening the engine hood, unlocking it with the appropriate lever in the cabin (pulled twice), disconnecting the negative pole of the battery (to unscrew the negative pole of the battery, we remove the upper gasket of the engine compartment, unscrew the plastic nuts of the cover, rotate the fastening elements 90 degrees counterclockwise, remove it and unscrew the pole nut, also disconnecting the wiring cable, for safety, we put a rubber protection on the pole); we position a jack in the front part of the car, lift it and hold it up with stands; we go under the car, unscrew the screws of the lower engine protection and remove it; with the lower part of the engine removed, we find the starter motor, then unscrew the screws, disconnect the wiring from the solenoid, unscrew the 3 bolts that hold the starter motor and remove it; we take the new starter motor, insert the rubber pad from the old starter motor, position it in place of the old starter motor, screw the 3 bolts, nuts and the solenoid of the wiring; we reassemble the lower engine protection, screwing the screws; we lower the car, reconnect the wiring cable to the negative pole which in turn we screw to the battery, reassemble the plastic cover, rotate the fastening elements 90 degrees clockwise, screw the plastic nuts and finally put back the upper gasket of the engine compartment. Now we can check the correct functioning of the starter motor.
