In this guide, learn how to enter and start your Mini even if the key doesn't work, perhaps because the remote battery is flat. To manage the emergency, follow these simple steps: inside the remote, there is a physical key that you can use in the driver's door, which has a real lock beneath the cover. Using the key, remove the cover from the lock and enter the car. Remove the key before opening the door, and if there is an alarm, it will sound once the door is opened. Keep the key on the steering column and press the start button to deactivate the alarm and start the engine.
