To remove it, you will need a screwdriver; turn on the ignition and locate the two screws under the steering wheel that will allow you to remove the airbag. Turn off the ignition and now you can disconnect the battery or remove the airbag. The YouTuber chooses this option and lifts the tabs behind the unit to remove it completely. Now locate the 17 mm bolt that secures the steering wheel to the steering column and loosen it with a socket wrench. If you look closely, there is a mark that needs to align: set the wheels straight and remove the steering wheel. Fit the new one - which has the same alignment - ensuring it matches, tuck all the cables back in, and reattach the 17 mm bolt on the steering column. Reconnect all the connectors and refit the airbag. Test the functionality of the steering wheel controls; if everything works, the job is complete.
