The main information today will show us how and when to replace the Mini Cooper's timing chain, following the instructions below. On this type of engine, the timing chain should be replaced every 250,000 kilometers or 10 years. So, let's lift the car and remove the right front wheel and the wheel arch, disconnecting the serpentine belt and removing the crankshaft pulley. We remove the timing cover to access the chain, as shown in the video. Then, we follow the instructions in the video, helpful for replacing the timing chain!
