How to Remove the Glow Plugs from a Mini

Model: Mini Mini R57, R55, R56 - Years 2007-2014
Part: Glow plugs

Have you never removed the glow plugs from your Mini? Think it’s difficult? Let’s see how to do it. Open the engine bay and secure it, then locate where to intervene. Lift the plastic tab and disconnect the power connector, then, with a twisting motion, pull the glow plug connector from the cylinder head. Blow compressed air into the hole to remove any hazardous residues for your engine. Using a socket and the appropriate insert, unscrew the glow plug and, with the help of a magnet, fish it out. Install the new glow plug into the cylinder head, tightening with a torque wrench without over-tightening. Reconnect the connector with the respective pin. Repeat this procedure for all glow plugs to be removed.
