Replacing the radio in a Mini Cooper involves a series of fairly quick steps that can be done independently. The first step is to remove the side panels of the central dashboard to gain easier access to the console and remove the central unit.

The second step is to unscrew the four screws securing the radio to remove it and disconnect the connector and antenna. The third step is to connect the antenna and the connector to the new radio.

The fourth step is to insert the new radio and secure it with screws. The fifth step is to reassemble the central console and the side parts.
