How to Reset Factory Settings on the Mitsubishi ASX

To reset the factory settings on the Mitsubishi ASX, there are three different types of resets, depending on the issue at hand. For minor problems like a frozen screen, unresponsive touch screen, or small glitches, simply hold down the volume button for 10 to 15 seconds; the system will restart without data loss. For persistent issues such as error codes, system malfunctions, or an unresponsive ECU, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery and leave it disconnected for 5 to 10 minutes. Before doing this, ensure you have the radio code, as it will be needed for restarting. Lastly, for a full factory reset due to severe software corruption or errors that do not resolve with the previous resets: access the settings menu from the infotainment system, look for "factory reset", and then follow the on-screen instructions. This will erase all personal settings, restoring the system to its original factory state.
