How to Replace the Interior Light in a Mitsubishi ASX

Let's see how to replace the interior light in a Mitsubishi ASX: you will need a new LED or halogen bulb (usually festoon or BA9S). Ensure the light switch is in the "off" position: the diffuser is held by two side clips, so do not force it in the centre. Gently lever it downwards to remove the diffuser. You will then see the bulb inserted in a central holder: this should not be pulled but pushed slightly to one side to unlock and extract it. Take the new bulb and insert it into the two guides of the holder. Push it from the other side to secure it until you hear a "click". Before refitting the diffuser, check if it works by turning on the car, and only then refit the diffuser, aligning the hooks and pushing upwards until you hear the two clicks confirming it is locked.
