How to Change the Cabin Air Filter on a Nissan Qashqai J10

Here is the procedure to change the cabin air filter on a Nissan Qashqai J10, which is located in a rather awkward position, on the driver's side, behind the pedal area. Move the seat as far back as possible to create space, and remove the lower plastic cover of the driver’s compartment (the kick panel), which is usually held by clips. Pull it towards you, being careful of any electrical connectors. Behind the pedals, you will see a rectangular box, fitted into the ventilation system: you will need a torch to identify all the fixing points. Once the cover is removed, take out the old, dirty filter and clean the compartment thoroughly. Insert the new filter, ensuring it is fitted the right way, replace the cover, and reassemble the kick panel, reconnecting any electrical connectors.
