Clean the roof rail with a cloth to remove dirt and debris, loosen the side screws of the bars (usually two per side) to secure the fixing mechanism. Insert the bar into the rail and adjust the width by loosening the locks. Centre the bar relative to the roof (use a tape measure to check symmetry). Tighten the screws by hand before using the spanner, then use the spanner to secure the anti-theft locks; check that the bar is secure and does not wobble, and after a few miles of driving, check the condition of the screws. Be careful with the installation: there is one bar for the front and one for the rear; remember that the bars increase fuel consumption and noise on the motorway.
