How to Replace the Cabin Air Filter on a Nissan Altima [USA]

Open the passenger side door and move the seat back. Locate the cover for the cabin air filter housing under the dashboard, in the footwell area, on the center console side. Unclip the cover and remove it. Then, reach into the housing and pull out the filter. Take the new filter (ensure you have the correct type for your vehicle model, see the owner's manual). Compress the paper filter and gently insert it into the slot. Reposition the filter cover and secure it by applying some pressure.
