Here’s how to remove the airbag module from a Nissan Qashqai: the first step before proceeding with this operation is to disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to avoid the airbag deploying while handling it. Then, using a screwdriver, press into the two holes found on the sides of the steering column.

This will release the clips holding the airbag module in place.

Remove the side module on the right, which is secured by 20 mm Torx screws. Finally, disconnect the electrical connectors located at the centre of the module.

The operation is complete.
