Instructions for Repairing the Windscreen Wiper Mechanism

Model: Nissan Micra K12 - Years 2002-2010

To access the wiper motor mechanism, open the front bonnet, remove the protective caps from the nuts securing the wiper arms, and unscrew them to remove the arms. Next, remove the plastic grille located just below the windscreen: in the central position, you will find the motor connected to the wiper mechanism. Unscrew the fastening pins of the structure, disconnect the power connector from the motor, and remove the assembly. The issue lies in the wear of the ball joint to which one of the link rods is connected; remedy this by applying a split pin to secure the head of the rod to the ball joint: drill a hole in the centre of the ball joint and insert the split pin. Reverse the process for installation and check its proper functioning.
