How to Replace the Timing Chain on a Nissan Sentra?

To replace the timing chain on a Nissan Sentra, completely remove the engine from its housing. Once the engine is removed, detach the side and top covers of the engine block to access the sprockets and the chain around them. By unscrewing the nuts securing the tensioner, you can remove it and reduce the tension on the chain. This will allow you to install the new chain, reattach all the engine covers, and place the engine back into its housing.
