How to Change the Pollen Filter on the Nissan Qashqai J10

To access the air filter of the Nissan Qashqai (also known as the pollen filter), you need to remove part of the lower dashboard near the driver's footwell. Remove the plastic panel. Align the gear by marking it with a marker, then easily unscrew it by removing the two visible screws. Behind it is the filter cover that also needs to be unscrewed. You can now take it out, though it may be a bit difficult as it is in a hard-to-reach spot. Clean the area with compressed air and then position the new filter. Refit the cover by repositioning the two screws. Then, put the gear back in place by screwing in the two screws that hold it. Realign the gear and reassemble the plastic cover. Job done.
