Nissan Qashqai - Video tutorial

Model: Nissan Qashqai J10 - Years 2006-2014
Part: Brake discs
Operation: How to replace the rear brake pads and discs of the Nissan Qashqai.

To replace the rear brake pads and discs, we start by lifting the rear of the car, unscrewing the bolts of the right rear wheel to remove it; once the wheel is removed, we unscrew the bolts holding the upper bracket of the caliper using a socket wrench or a 14mm wrench; once the upper part of the caliper is unscrewed, we hold it up, remove the old brake pads; after removing the brake pads, using a 19mm socket wrench, we remove the bracket on the disc that holds the pads; once the bracket is removed, using a flathead screwdriver, we remove the rubber cap on the disc, rotate it until we notice some holes to release the disc from the fitting, then insert a screwdriver and detach the disc and then give it a tap with a hammer to remove the disc; after removing the disc, we clean the rear hub with a steel brush, put the new disc back in, insert the screwdriver to fit the disc, put the bracket of the pads back on the disc by screwing the rear bolts, place the new pads on the bracket with the friction side against the disc, reposition the caliper on the bracket, insert a suitable tool to retract the caliper piston, reposition it on the pads by screwing the rear bolts; finally, after putting the caliper back, put the wheel back on and we can test the new brake pads.
