In this video, we see how to periodically check maintenance items at the right time. This is when refuelling or checking the transmission fluid. It is important to check the battery fluid level in each cell, ensuring it is between the minimum and maximum lines; the same applies to the brake fluid: we must also periodically check that the fluid level is close to maximum. A look at the engine coolant can prevent many problems: if the fluid level is not close to maximum, top it up - always with fluid of the same colour as that in the reservoir - but it must be checked with the engine off and the fluid cold. The oil should be checked on a level surface with the engine almost cold; occasionally, check the level of the windscreen washer fluid (which should not be just water; the exact type of fluid will be found in the owner's manual).
