In this tutorial, learn how to replace the oil sump on a Nissan Maxima, a straightforward operation that requires attention. First, wait for the engine to cool sufficiently, then position a container underneath, unscrew the bolt on the oil sump, and drain the system completely. Once done, unscrew the bolts around the perimeter of the sump with a 10 mm spanner, separate it from the engine, and remove any remnants of the old gasket. At this point, you can position the new parts, tighten each bolt, and add new oil.
