Replacing the rear shock absorbers is straightforward and does not require spring compressors; start by lifting the vehicle on a ramp to unscrew the fastening bolt of the lower shock absorber eye and support it with a jack to remove the pin; then remove the jack, lower the vehicle, and access the boot to remove both the plastic cover of the pillar and the carpet to reach the strut; unscrew the fastening nut to complete the disassembly; fit the boot and the mount to the new shock absorber and proceed in reverse for installation.
