In this video, see how to dismantle the centre tunnel inside the Nissan Qashqai J11: first, remove the side panels, which are simply clipped in. Next, lift the rear part of the drawer where the cup holders are located. Then, disconnect the clips of the gear lever gaiter frame, starting from the front. At this point, you can remove the upper part of the console, lift the gear lever gaiter, and expose the gears and control units that may need inspection. You can further lift the front part (which does not need to be removed) that covers some electronic components. To reassemble everything, proceed in reverse order.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y
