In this video, see how to adjust the handbrake on the Nissan Micra K12: first, block the wheels, then lift the front of the vehicle. Raise the handbrake lever and remove the plastic cover protecting the adjustment screw on the centre console.

Using an extension, reach the adjustment screw, adjusting the tension of the cable so that the lever has a maximum tension of three or four clicks when fully pulled. You will need to turn the screw clockwise to do this.

Once you achieve the desired result, you can lower the vehicle; the job is complete.
