How to Remove the Starter Motor on an Opel Astra

To begin, use a socket wrench to disconnect the battery power cables. Remove the soundproofing panel from the engine along with the attached cables (using a socket wrench and needle-nose pliers). If necessary, disconnect the exhaust connector, then disconnect the starter motor power terminals with pliers or a screwdriver depending on the pressure of the clips. Unscrew the fastening bolts of the starter motor with a socket wrench and remove it from the engine bay. Finally, fit the new starter motor with the power cables and the corresponding fastening screws.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y
