Let's see how to replace or clean the MAP sensor on an Opel/Vauxhall Mokka X 1.6 CDTI: this component is located inside the engine compartment; therefore, we remove the cover of the engine block, and we will find the sensor on the intake pipe, between the intercooler and the manifold. We recognize it because it is connected to a 3-pin electrical cable. We must turn off the car and disconnect the battery, then disconnect the electrical connector by pressing the release tab, then remove the screw that secures the sensor. It must then be cleaned with a specific cleaner that we can find, for example, on Amazon with the code B00295EEBK at the price of 11.09 euros, free delivery for Prime customers. Let it act for a couple of minutes and let it air dry without using heat sources. Never use water or household cleaners, nor compressed air that can damage the sensor. Also avoid brake spray, which is too aggressive.
