Removing the External Mirror on an Opel Astra

Remove the external mirror on an Opel Astra. Use a plastic or rubber lever to pry between the mirror frame and the glass. Pry until the plastics detach from the mirror (disconnect the power cable); this is a delicate operation as the glass or mirror itself may break. Unscrew the screws with a screwdriver to disconnect the mirror cover (if it needs replacing), and replace the damaged part with a new one. Ensure the plastic clips snap into the mirror supports.
