In this video, we can see how to change the automatic gear knob on the Opel Zafira C: first, obtain the knob, which can be found on eBay under code 392641016241 for £33.94 with free delivery. Using a plastic spatula, pry off the trim from the base of the gear lever until it comes out of its housing, and pull up the gaiter to expose the clip that connects it to the shaft; cut it to separate it from the knob, and pull the knob off with force. Now place the new knob in its position, and with a new clip, secure it back to the knob. Pull down the gaiter and replace the trim in its housing.
