How to Remove and Replace the Water Pump on an Opel Meriva

Here’s how to remove and replace the water pump on an Opel Meriva. Lift the front bonnet and remove the engine soundproofing panel. Use a spanner to loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off its seat. Using a socket wrench, unscrew the fastening bolt of the tensioner pulley and remove the water pump to be replaced. Install the new water pump, the tensioner, and the belt, tightening everything with the socket wrench. Finally, reinstall the fastening bolts of the splash guard and refit the wheel with the tyre on the vehicle.
