How to Replace the Electric Power Steering Pump on an Opel Meriva

Model: Vauxhall Meriva MK 2, Meriva B - Years 2010-2017

Before replacing the electric power steering pump on an Opel Meriva model B, disconnect and remove the battery. Open the front bonnet and disconnect the negative terminal cable, then disconnect the positive terminal cable. Unscrew the nuts on the battery clamps to remove the rod. Extract the battery from its seat and proceed to disconnect the ESP cable. Disconnect the electrical cable and unscrew the bolts that secure the unit to the steering column. After removing the pump, compare it with the new one before proceeding with the installation. Insert the pump and avoid the bolts. Connect the electrical connectors to the unit before reinstalling the battery. At the end of the replacement procedure, restart the engine to ensure that the error code light is no longer present in the vehicle; before hitting the road, perform a diagnostic check.
