How to Remove and Replace the Timing Belt on Opel Meriva

In this guide, learn how to remove and replace the timing belt on an Opel Meriva. Lift the car on a column lift and remove the right front wheel. Then, use a screwdriver to remove the right wheel arch liner (take out the plastic rivets). Using a spanner, loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off its seat. Use a socket wrench to unscrew the tensioner pulley bolt, and remove the water pump as shown in the video. Fit the new water pump, the tensioner, and the belt, tightening everything with the socket wrench. Finally, fit the rivets back with the wheel arch liner and reattach the wheel with the tyre to the vehicle.
