How to Change the Sliding Side Door Handle on an Opel Movano

Let's see how to change the sliding side door handle on the Opel Movano (and its equivalents, the Renault Master and Nissan Primastar). Start by removing the inner door panel with a flat screwdriver and a plastic tool. This will give you access to the back of the handle: locate a clip that secures the handle, lever it up, and then pull the handle outwards to remove it. There is a small piece connecting the handle to the internal lock: locate the rotating lever, push it down, and then turn it clockwise (to reassemble, turn it counterclockwise and pull out the piece). Install the new handle (you can find the entire kit on Amazon with code B07943KD8V for £29.90, with free delivery) by inserting it from the outside, engaging the mechanism, turning the lever counterclockwise, checking that it closes properly, and refitting the inner panel.
