How to Remove the Front Ball Joint on an Opel Astra

Model: Vauxhall Astra Astra H - Years 2004-2010
Part: Control arm

Here’s how to remove the front ball joint on an Opel Astra. First, place the car on a column lift and loosen the wheel nuts with a telescopic spanner, then lift the car to your preferred height and remove the wheel. Use a socket spanner to unscrew the lower tightening bolt of the wishbone and the bolt mounted under the wheel hub, unscrew the bolts on the upper part of the arm (as shown in the video). Remove the wishbone from the bolt housing with the help of a pry bar. Always compare the parts to be replaced with the new ones; if they are suitable, you can install them. Reassemble all parts in reverse order.
