How to Replace the Remote Control Battery on an Opel/Vauxhall Mokka

Replacing the battery in the remote control of an Opel Mokka is simple and takes just a few seconds; first, extract the metal emergency key: find the small release button on the side of the remote, press it, and slide out the blade. Now, using a flathead screwdriver (or a plastic tool), pry along the seam of the remote to separate the two halves of the shell. Proceed carefully to avoid damaging the plastic clips. Once opened, you will find the button battery, which is a CR2032 (the most common for these remotes). Carefully remove the old battery, paying attention to the orientation: the positive (+) side must face upwards. Insert the new battery, close the remote by pressing firmly until you hear it click shut. Reinsert the emergency key and check the operation by pressing the buttons. If everything works, the job is complete.
