Replacing the Alternator on an Opel Meriva

To replace the alternator on an Opel Meriva, see how to remove it from inside the engine bay. Lift the bonnet and secure it, locate the power battery and disconnect the terminals. Find the alternator. Unscrew the bolts with a socket wrench, being careful not to damage the wiring harness, then remove the alternator belt. Insert the new alternator into the appropriate housing, screw in the securing bolts, then tighten the side bolts of the alternator and refit the belt. Check the correct voltage with a tester by connecting it to the battery while starting the engine.
